What changed
Anthropic's September 16 release notes describe a unified Claude experience that makes Cowork tasks available from any conversation. Users can ask a short question or request a report, spreadsheet, or presentation without choosing a separate mode first.
Existing chats, tasks, projects, connectors, and skills carry over. The company describes a gradual rollout to Pro and Max on web, desktop, and mobile. The same entry announces creation of designs, slides, and documents in conversations, with plan-specific conditions for those artifacts.
