What to look for

The report separates predicting task difficulty from learning which models perform well on particular requests. Its production evaluation is useful context for understanding why a router may select different models for different steps.

Keep in mind

Cursor reports user-satisfaction and cost observations from its own traffic. Satisfaction is not a universal correctness measure, and lower cost does not necessarily mean fewer tokens. Routing also depends on the available models and their prices.
