STEP 01
Confirm the source change
OpenThe two downloaded files
Version 2 changes the booking limit; the printer location stays the same.
- Compare the two files and locate 60 versus 90 minutes.
- Record their version IDs and which one is current.
- Keep the old file for audit, but exclude it from the active search scope.
You know which fact should change and which should remain.
If it does not work
If you edited a sample locally, verify its actual contents first.
STEP 02
Reindex and retire
OpenYour ingestion job and index
An updated file is not active until its passages are ready.
- Parse and index version 2 with its own stable source ID.
- Verify that the 90-minute passage is searchable.
- Atomically switch the active version or remove version 1 from searchable records. Check caches and replicas too.
Only version 2 can supply the booking fact to new queries.
If it does not work
If both numbers appear, look for duplicate records or stale caches before changing ranking.
STEP 03
Test the full path
OpenNew request with no old chat history
A previous conversation may still contain the old answer.
- Ask the booking question and inspect the passage ID and answer.
- Check for 90 minutes and a version 2 citation.
- Ask where the printer is to confirm the unchanged fact still works.
The updated rule changes and the printer answer stays correct.
If it does not work
If search returns 90 but generation says 60, inspect the model input and conversation state.
Use the same questions, inspect the evidence, and record what changed.
